“One very hot day, I was struggling with a script and it hit me that it would be impossible to become an actor without being able to read. On the dash of my car was a card that my wife had given me. It said “STAR Literacy”. I made the call! And now I can spell my daughter’s name, read scripts and I am even writing my own scripts. It is really great to see life in a way that I had only dreamed of. ~ STAR Literacy Student
